This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all use of AltraNC Connect. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
1. Lawful use
You may not use AltraNC Connect to violate applicable law, regulation, court order or the rights of another person or organisation.
2. Security abuse
You may not use the service to conduct or facilitate unauthorised access, credential theft, malware distribution, phishing, exploitation, scanning intended to compromise third-party systems, denial-of-service attacks or deliberate disruption of networks or services.
3. Messaging, webhooks and push abuse
- Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, deceptive notifications or spam.
- Do not send webhooks to systems you do not own or have permission to contact.
- Do not use push notifications to mislead, harass, threaten or impersonate others.
- Do not deliberately create retry storms, traffic floods or excessive requests intended to degrade service.
4. Privacy and personal information
You must not submit personal information unless you have a lawful basis and the required authority to process it. You must apply appropriate safeguards to sensitive information and avoid including secrets or unnecessary personal data in event payloads.
5. Credentials and platform controls
You may not share, sell or expose credentials in a way that enables unauthorised use, bypass technical limits, defeat metering or security controls, or attempt to access another customer’s projects, keys, channels, events or configurations.
6. Harmful or deceptive activity
You may not use AltraNC Connect to facilitate fraud, impersonation, unlawful surveillance, harassment, exploitation, malicious automation or content that is unlawful in the jurisdictions applicable to you and your recipients.
7. Fair use and operational integrity
You must respect documented rate limits, payload limits and plan limits. Automated use must be designed so that failures do not create uncontrolled request loops or other harmful load.
8. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may rate-limit, block, suspend or terminate affected credentials, projects or accounts where reasonably necessary to protect the service, customers, third parties or legal compliance. Serious suspected unlawful conduct may be referred to appropriate authorities where legally required or permitted.
9. Reporting abuse
Suspected abuse involving AltraNC Connect may be reported to ALTRANC HOLDINGS (Pty) Ltd through the support channels published on the ALTRANC website or within the service.
